Cloud Engineer Azure

Your role in the team

• You are responsible for the setup, operation, and further development of the Microsoft Azure Cloud platform, ensuring stability, security, and scalability.
• You design and operate the Azure Cloud infrastructure - from networks to core platform services such as AKS, Storage, and Key Vault.
• They consistently implement security standards and ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• They develop and operate transparent platform monitoring for early problem detection.
• They automate cloud infrastructure and platform processes using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Bicep) and reduce manual activities.
• They analyze disruptions at the infrastructure and platform level, conduct root cause analyses, and implement sustainable solutions.
• You define and establish standards for our cloud environments and ensure a consistent structure.

Our expectations:

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge in handling Infrastructure as Code (e.g., with Terraform or Bicep) & automation.
• Basic knowledge of Linux as well as scripting, e.g., with Bash, is advantageous.
• You bring strong communication skills in German (at least C1) and English (at least B2).

Experience

• Extensive experience in building and operating Microsoft Azure Cloud environments, particularly in the areas of Cloud Networking, IAM/RBAC, and Infrastructure.
• Good understanding of cloud security as well as experience in implementing security measures at the platform level.
• Experience in operating and monitoring cloud infrastructures, e.g., with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, or Prometheus.
• Ideally, experience with Kubernetes at the platform level, especially in cluster operations.

Education

• Completed technical degree, e.g., in (Business) Informatics, or a comparable qualification.
