The "zStorage Services" team in Platforms & Infrastructure ensures the reliable management and security of data in the IBM Z Mainframe environment, guaranteeing the availability and performance of the storage and backup infrastructure.

As a Cloud Engineer (m/f/d) in the "Mainframe Storage Services" team, you will play a key role: you will ensure that our mainframe infrastructure runs reliably and that more than 25 petabytes of business-critical data remain available and protected at all times. You can fully indulge your passion for technology with us, as you will work with complex systems, find innovative solutions, and actively shape the technological future of our company. You will bear great responsibility: you will ensure the stable operation of the mainframe storage systems, further develop processes, and accompany modernization efforts. What we're looking for

Key areas of responsibility include:

• You will support the team in reliably operating our storage and backup systems in the mainframe environment and learn the technologies used.
• You will assist with the maintenance and optimization of software and work on automating processes for backing up, restoring, and archiving data.
• You will take on supporting tasks related to backups (z/OS), e.g., performing backups and restores, and together with experienced colleagues, ensure that all relevant data is protected.
• You will assist with monitoring the capacity and performance of the disk and tape infrastructure (DASD, VTS, tape robots) and learn how bottlenecks are identified and resolved.
