About

As part of our engineering team, you will develop and operate scalable, secure cloud architectures for demanding customer environments. You will combine automation, platform thinking, and security-by-design to ensure stable, performant, and future-proof infrastructures.

Responsibilities

• Cloud & Platform Automation: Building and further developing CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, and Infrastructure- and Configuration-as-Code.
• API-First Integration: Connecting and orchestrating platform components via defined interfaces – including the implementation of Policy-as-Code approaches.
• Implementing Pilots & MVPs: Contributing to production-related use cases (e.g., Workload Identities, Break-Glass Concepts, Migration & Automation).
• Security & Resilience by Design: Developing comprehensible, robust operational concepts – "secure by default."
• Communication & Reviews: Documenting technical results and presenting them in demos and reviews – precise, stakeholder-friendly, without slide overload.

Requirements

Must-have

• Cloud Experience: Ideally several years of practical experience with at least one leading cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) – from architecture to operations.
• Infrastructure-as-Code Mindset: Good knowledge of Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation – infrastructure as an automated, versioned standard.
• Containers & Kubernetes: Sound practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
• CI/CD & Automation: Experience in building and operating modern delivery pipelines and in automating deployments.
• Architectural Understanding: Confident handling of microservices, event-driven, and API-first architectures.
• Monitoring & Observability: Experience with logging, monitoring, and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Security Awareness: Understanding of central cloud security principles such as Least Privilege, Network Segmentation, and Secrets Management.
• Language Skills: Very good German, both written and spoken.

Nice-to-have

• Cloud Certifications: e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Professional Cloud Architect.
• Security & Compliance Know-how: Experience with regulatory requirements or frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, BSI, NIST).
• Programming Skills: Practical experience in at least one language (e.g., Python, Go, or Java) for automation and tooling development.
• FinOps Understanding: Experience with cost optimization and budget control in cloud environments.
