About the role
Join our dynamic team as a Cloud Engineer focused on optimizing cloud infrastructure and services, particularly within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). In this key role, you will design, build, maintain, and enhance robust cloud environments that support mission-critical operations, while emphasizing security, performance, and cost-efficiency. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and developers, you will help implement cloud-native solutions and automation frameworks that benefit both internal stakeholders and external clients.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy scalable cloud-based services within OCI.
- Migrate systems and applications to OCI ensuring a secure, stable, and high-performance environment.
- Draft detailed specifications for network, storage, and compute to support dynamic cloud operations.
- Manage various cloud services including Identity and Access Management and OCI-native services.
- Utilize infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and Ansible, along with scripting (PowerShell) and CI/CD pipelines (CloudBees Jenkins) to automate and orchestrate cloud environments.
- Develop templates and scripts for provisioning and configuring cloud resources.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to translate technical objectives into actionable requirements.
- Review operational requirements with project teams and stakeholders to streamline deployment and ongoing operations.
- Create and maintain documentation for cloud infrastructure, network design, best practices, and operational procedures.
- Act as a liaison to clients, ensuring technical needs are effectively met by participating in meetings.
- Support initiatives for cost management, performance optimization, disaster recovery planning, and cloud security.
- Assist in identifying and planning new cloud services, features, and technical capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience
- CSP Associate-level cloud certification in AWS, Azure, OCI, or Google Cloud (Professional-level certification is preferred)
- 8-15 years of IT experience, which includes:
- 3-4 years of cloud engineering experience on major platforms
- 4+ years supporting or debugging Windows or Linux systems in an engineering or administrative role
- Candidates must possess a current secret clearance; Top Secret is preferred.
Additional Job Skills
- Advanced knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) and shared security responsibilities
- Strong understanding of cloud-based backup and storage concepts
- Hands-on experience with enterprise server, backup, and storage solutions in the cloud
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced troubleshooting skills across storage, server OS, and networks
- Proficiency in command-line interfaces and advanced scripting in the cloud
- Exceptional documentation, communication, collaboration, and priority management skills
- Knowledge of best practices for information lifecycle management
Required Certifications (8570 Baseline)
Current CompTIA Security+ OR one of the following: CISSP, CCNA, CAP, CASP+ CE, CCISO, CND, CSSLP, CySA+, GSLC, SSCP
