Join our team as a Cloud Engineer - Windows Team Leader, where you will design, implement, and support cloud-hosted Windows server environments critical to our federal clients. In this role, you will build and maintain virtual machines, images, and automate the provisioning of Windows workloads for maximum efficiency and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and manage Windows server instances on public or private cloud platforms, ensuring compliance through image management, patching, and configuration baseline enforcement.
• Design and implement networking solutions for Windows workloads, including virtual networks, subnets, network security groups, and load balancers.
• Utilize scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools to automate Windows deployment and configuration, facilitating repeatable builds and compliance.
• Integrate Windows instances with directory services and identity providers, establishing stringent access controls within regulated environments.
• Monitor and optimize Windows systems in the cloud using native tools and logs to ensure consistent performance, availability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with application, security, and DevOps teams to incorporate Windows-based services into comprehensive cloud architectures and CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement and oversee backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies for Windows workloads, adhering to federal IT policies and standards.
• Maintain thorough documentation, runbooks, and diagrams defining Windows cloud architectures, configurations, and operational protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4-7+ years of experience in Windows system administration with extensive work in cloud environments like Azure, AWS, or similar.
• Proven expertise in managing Windows servers in cloud contexts, including tasks like image management, configuration, patching, and security hardening.
• Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python) and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Thorough understanding of cloud networking, identity and access management, logging, and monitoring services.
• Eligibility to obtain and sustain a Secret clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant cloud certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect, or equivalent credentials.
• Experience supporting Windows-based application stacks, including IIS and .NET applications in cloud frameworks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and integration of Windows workloads within automated build and release systems.
• Experience working in highly regulated federal cloud environments, including compliance with security standards.
