Cloud Infrastructure Automation Engineer

Our client is looking for a talented Cloud Infrastructure Automation Engineer to join their growing IT and Software team in **Maiduguri, Borno, NG**. In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated solutions for our cloud infrastructure. Your primary focus will be on improving efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our cloud environments through automation. You will work closely with system administrators, software developers, and DevOps teams to develop and deploy infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation. Key responsibilities include developing scripts and tools for provisioning, configuration management, and deployment of cloud resources across various platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). You will also be involved in setting up CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure changes, monitoring system performance, and implementing automated responses to incidents. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and experience with at least one major cloud provider. Proven experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and IaC tools is essential. Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is highly desirable. You should possess excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify and resolve complex infrastructure issues. Strong collaboration and communication skills are necessary to work effectively within a team environment. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Experience in a DevOps or SRE role is a significant plus.
