Cloud Infrastructure Manager

About

This role leads a team of three while owning infrastructure architecture and automation across a hybrid environment spanning on-prem and Azure. It focuses on driving cloud cost optimization, capacity planning, and scalable automation practices to modernize and efficiently manage large enterprise infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 3
• Oversee infrastructure architecture across compute, storage, network, and cloud environments
• Partner with Application, Security, and Project teams to design resilient and efficient solutions
• Ensure designs align with corporate cloud strategy, with sensitive and critical workloads remaining on-premise unless vendor-mandated
• Lead automation initiatives to reduce manual processes and improve operational efficiency
• Develop frameworks for infrastructure-as-code, orchestration, and automated monitoring
• Drive adoption of standardized automation practices across infrastructure teams
• Manage enterprise capacity planning across both on-prem and cloud environments
• Monitor infrastructure utilization trends and recommend scaling, optimization, or cost-control strategies
• Collaborate with peers to optimize Azure and Microsoft 365 spend through right-sizing, reservations, scheduling, and removal of unused resources
• Implement governance practices to maintain cost visibility and prevent resource sprawl
• Continuously evaluate cloud utilization to ensure cost-effective operations

Qualifications

• Strong experience with cloud cost management, specifically monitoring and optimizing Azure costs
• Hands-on automation experience is critical
• Exposure to large-scale environments, ideally supporting 1,000+ servers
• Preferred certifications: Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator, VMware VCP, or equivalent
• Strong background in architecture and automation within hybrid enterprise environments
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure architecture, engineering, or automation
• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Experience leading or managing technical teams
• Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, virtualization, automation frameworks, and hybrid cloud connectivity
• Proven experience in capacity planning, cloud cost optimization, and infrastructure modernization

Profile

The successful candidate is a hands-on cloud infrastructure leader with strong expertise in Azure, automation, and cost optimization, combined with proven experience managing teams in large, complex environments. They bring a balance of architecture and execution, with the ability to modernize hybrid infrastructure, drive efficiency, and enforce governance across enterprise-scale systems.
