Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 3
- Oversee infrastructure architecture across compute, storage, network, and cloud environments
- Partner with Application, Security, and Project teams to design resilient and efficient solutions
- Ensure designs align with corporate cloud strategy, with sensitive and critical workloads remaining on-premise unless vendor-mandated
- Lead automation initiatives to reduce manual processes and improve operational efficiency
- Develop frameworks for infrastructure-as-code, orchestration, and automated monitoring
- Drive adoption of standardized automation practices across infrastructure teams
- Manage enterprise capacity planning across both on-prem and cloud environments
- Monitor infrastructure utilization trends and recommend scaling, optimization, or cost-control strategies
- Collaborate with peers to optimize Azure and Microsoft 365 spend through right-sizing, reservations, scheduling, and removal of unused resources
- Implement governance practices to maintain cost visibility and prevent resource sprawl
- Continuously evaluate cloud utilization to ensure cost-effective operations
Qualifications
- Strong experience with cloud cost management, specifically monitoring and optimizing Azure costs
- Hands-on automation experience is critical
- Exposure to large-scale environments, ideally supporting 1,000+ servers
- Preferred certifications: Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator, VMware VCP, or equivalent
- Strong background in architecture and automation within hybrid enterprise environments
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure architecture, engineering, or automation
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience leading or managing technical teams
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, virtualization, automation frameworks, and hybrid cloud connectivity
- Proven experience in capacity planning, cloud cost optimization, and infrastructure modernization
Profile
The successful candidate is a hands-on cloud infrastructure leader with strong expertise in Azure, automation, and cost optimization, combined with proven experience managing teams in large, complex environments. They bring a balance of architecture and execution, with the ability to modernize hybrid infrastructure, drive efficiency, and enforce governance across enterprise-scale systems.
