Requirements and Your Profile
- You bring passion and enthusiasm for new technologies and topics related to Linux, automation, virtualization, and networking.
- You actively drive the improvement of availability and scaling and strive to automate process flows.
- You are capable of analyzing and solving technical problems and have experience in conducting root cause analyses.
- You have several years of experience in implementing and managing Kubernetes environments, including deployment and scaling.
- You have several years of experience in software development, up to build and release management, and convince us with your programming experience, especially in Python and/or Golang.
Responsibilities
- You are part of the Infrastructure-as-a-Service Site Reliability Engineering (IaaS SRE) team and support the development of a high-performance cloud platform based on OpenStack with a focus on scaling and expansion beyond data center and country borders.
- You operate and continuously optimize technical process flows through efficient automation and further development in the programming languages Golang and/or Python.
- You are responsible for and optimize the provision of bare metal resources from various manufacturers based on OpenStack Ironic and internal and/or open-source-based tools.
- You operate and manage the surrounding Linux-based system landscapes (e.g., Kubernetes, Proxmox) and ensure the high availability of our cloud infrastructure.
- You create and maintain documentation and ensure the implementation and maintenance of monitoring and logging (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack) for stable platform operation.
- You are part of a motivated team that strives for improvements at all times and continuously develops itself (and the products).
