Role Overview
We are looking for a Cloud Network Engineer to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud networking solutions across AWS and Azure environments. This role will focus on building robust networking architecture, hybrid connectivity, DNS systems, and ensuring seamless communication across distributed systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and manage AWS networking (VPCs, subnets, routing, NAT, ALB/NLB)
- Build and maintain Transit Gateway (TGW) architecture for multi-VPC connectivity
- Manage DNS architecture (Route 53, private zones, DNS proxy like NGINX)
- Implement hybrid connectivity:
- Site-to-Site VPN
- Direct Connect / ExpressRoute
- Enforce network security (Security Groups, NACLs, firewalls)
- Troubleshoot:
- Service-to-service connectivity issues
- DNS resolution failures
- Latency and routing issues
- Support email/network integrations (SES, SMTP relay)
- Develop Terraform modules for networking components
- Monitor performance using CloudWatch, Datadog, flow logs
- Support incident resolution and RCA
- Work with DevOps, SRE, and security teams
- Maintain network documentation and architecture diagrams
Required Skills
- 4+ years in cloud/network engineering
- Strong AWS networking (VPC, TGW, Route 53, ALB/NLB)
- Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, NAT)
- Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
- Hybrid networking experience
- Troubleshooting multi-tier applications
- Network security concepts
- ITSM tools (ServiceNow or similar)
Good to Have
- Azure networking (VNet, peering, ExpressRoute)
- Large-scale TGW architectures
- NGINX / DNS proxy experience
- Datadog / observability tools
- Kubernetes networking (EKS)
- AWS Networking / CCNA / CCNP certifications
