A Day in the Life:
As a Cloud Network Solutions Engineer, you will take the lead in designing, implementing, and optimizing resilient network infrastructures, seamlessly integrating on-premises environments with cloud-based solutions. This role demands a strong proficiency in both traditional networking and cloud technologies, ensuring secure, efficient, and reliable connectivity across diverse workloads. You will focus on core networking protocols, DNS management, and advanced cloud systems like AWS.
What You'll Do:
- Architect, deploy, and manage network architectures across traditional and cloud environments, prioritizing robust connectivity and performance.
- Configure and oversee firewalls, routers, switches, and VPNs to maintain enterprise-level security and availability.
- Manage and troubleshoot DNS infrastructure, ensuring efficient resolution and handling of both internal and external DNS services in hybrid environments.
- Implement and oversee networking services within AWS, including VPC, Security Groups, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, and Route 53, guaranteeing smooth integration with existing network systems.
- Continuously monitor network performance and proactively resolve connectivity or configuration issues across both cloud and on-premises resources.
- Utilize Infrastructure-as-Code tools like AWS CloudFormation and Terraform to automate network provisioning and management, striking a balance between cloud automation and physical network oversight.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and information security teams to design networking solutions that cater to both legacy and modern infrastructure needs.
- Ensure adherence to corporate security standards and compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks for all network systems.
- Engage in disaster recovery planning, testing, and implementation for network and DNS resources across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in networking, DNS, and cloud technologies, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and security.
What We're Looking For:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty, CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desired.
- Experience in utilizing Firewall technologies, including both physical and virtual appliances.
- Knowledge of other cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud) and multi-cloud networking strategies.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS (including BIND, Windows DNS, and cloud-based DNS), DHCP, and foundational network protocols.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise networking hardware (e.g., Cisco, Juniper), including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Exceptional skills in designing network topology, as well as LAN/WAN configuration and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
- Advanced knowledge of AWS networking services: VPC, VPC Peering, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Elastic Load Balancing, Route 53, and Security Groups.
- Experience with network automation tools (CloudFormation, Terraform) and traditional network management solutions.
- Proficiency in monitoring and logging tools for both cloud and on-premises networks (e.g., CloudWatch, SolarWinds).
- A solid grasp of security best practices, network segmentation, and IAM policies applicable to both environments.
- Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills across all aspects of networking.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective teamwork across multiple functions.
- An understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and the integration of network operations within agile methodologies.
- A strong capacity for influencing and engaging with stakeholders at various levels.

- Proven ability to motivate teams and maintain a positive outlook in a fast-paced environment.

The starting salary is expected to be around $95,000, commensurate with experience.
