In addition to productive operation on Azure, the group is also responsible for the processes and tools for application operation and works closely with external providers.
Responsibilities
- You operate our productive applications and services in Microsoft Azure and monitor them with Dynatrace, create dashboards and alerts within it, and derive optimization measures from them.
- You analyze disruptions within the scope of incident and problem management, conduct root cause analyses, and ensure sustainable error correction.
- You automate recurring operational tasks using scripting (e.g. PowerShell, Python), Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform), and configuration management (e.g. Ansible).
- You develop and operate CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions and design modern deployment strategies.
- You ensure the security and availability of the applications.
- You support the planning and implementation of scaling concepts, performance tuning, and capacity planning for business-critical applications.
- You create and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles, thereby ensuring smooth regular operations.
- You work closely with development teams and business departments and actively contribute your operational perspective to architectural and design decisions.
- You support the operational handover of new solutions from projects into regular operations, paying attention to operational readiness.
- You participate in on-call duty services to ensure the availability of our applications in a 24x7 environment.
Profile
- You have successfully completed a degree in business informatics, computer science, or a comparable qualification.
- You have several years of experience in operating applications on Microsoft Azure, ideally in a complex or regulated environment.
- You have good knowledge of Azure services (e.g. App Services, Functions, AKS, Azure SQL, Storage, Key Vault, Service Bus) and a solid understanding of modern cloud architectures (microservices, containers, event-driven).
- You have experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, preferably AKS or other Kubernetes environments).

- You have already built and operated CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps or comparable tools.

- You have a basic understanding of network and security concepts in Azure.
- You have solid knowledge of Windows Server and Linux.
- You are familiar with ITIL-oriented processes such as incident, problem, and change management and work in a structured and reliable manner.
- You work analytically, solution-oriented, and independently, and maintain an overview even in critical situations.
- You communicate clearly and appropriately for the audience – with development, business departments, and management – and can explain technical issues understandably.
- You are a team player and enjoy sharing your knowledge with others.
- Ideally, you have relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g. AZ-104, AZ-400, Azure Solutions Architect).
- Participation in on-call duty services is fundamentally conceivable for you.
- You have very good German language skills, both written and spoken, as well as good English language skills.
