About the role
About
As a Cloud Architect in this role, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing cloud-based solutions that focus on building and maintaining automated pipelines for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) server AMIs within AWS. You will architect workflows that leverage AWS Image Builder to streamline the creation, testing, and deployment of hardened RHEL images, ensuring compliance with security standards such as STIG (Security Technical Implementation Guide) hardening. Your responsibilities will include orchestrating RHEL server OS upgrades, developing robust rollback strategies, and integrating these processes into broader cloud infrastructure initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define requirements, issues, and optimize performance and security across Linux-based cloud environments.
To succeed in this position, you should bring advanced expertise in RHEL and Linux system administration, with a strong background in AWS cloud services. Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and configuration management platforms such as Ansible will be essential for automating deployments and managing server configurations. Experience with AWS Image Builder, STIG hardening practices, and CI/CD pipeline development will enable you to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable solutions. Exposure to monitoring, documentation, and process optimization within enterprise cloud environments will further support your ability to enhance operational efficiency and maintain high standards of system integrity.
