Responsibilities

  • Design, architect, and deploy large-scale, high-performance software systems on cloud platforms including OCI and other providers.
  • Establish and maintain architectural standards, best practices, and design patterns across engineering groups.
  • Lead design reviews and proof-of-concept initiatives, evaluating new technologies for potential adoption in projects.
  • Collaborate effectively with product management, development, DevOps, and security teams to deliver reliable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud solutions.
  • Provide mentorship to developers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality code.
  • Innovate AI solutions to boost DevOps productivity and enhance cloud service efficiency.
  • Optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability through proactive architectural design and continuous enhancements.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and evaluate their relevance for our projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of software development experience.
  • 3+ years in an architect or technical lead role.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, Go, C#, or Node.js.
  • Strong grasp of cloud computing concepts, IaaS/PaaS/SaaS, and container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Hands-on experience with OCI, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform services.
  • Familiar with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (Terraform), and DevOps methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of API design, microservices, event-driven architectures, and data streaming.
  • Solid grounding in software design patterns, distributed systems, and RESTful or GraphQL architectures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cloud Architect certification (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Architect Expert, or GCP Professional Cloud Architect).
  • Experience with serverless frameworks such as AWS Lambda and Azure Functions.
  • Familiarity with data engineering, AI/ML pipelines, or observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Strong background in security best practices and compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO 27001, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence technical direction across teams.
