As part of the Pearl Street Technologies team, our mission is to expedite the transition to a reliable, decarbonized grid. We develop software solutions for electric grid operators, utilities, and renewable energy project developers, helping to alleviate the interconnection bottleneck faced by large-scale solar, wind, and battery projects. To date, we have modeled nearly 300 billion watts of renewable energy projects in our software, equating to the energy produced by nearly 700 million solar panels. Your Role and Responsibilities

• Lead complex projects collaboratively within the team.
• Enhance our Interconnect© and SUGAR applications, making renewable energy deployment faster, easier, and more cost-effective.
• Support and improve our software engineering workflow using Github Actions and AWS.
• Debug and optimize the DevOps flow.
• Work with the development team to plan enhancements to cloud infrastructure aiming to boost performance and reliability (utilizing Kubernetes, Docker, AWS SQS).
• Improve logging, metrics, and debuggability of cloud solutions using Grafana, and assist in creating monitoring dashboards.
• Ensure compliance with SOC2 standards in our development and maintenance processes.

Your contributions will empower project developers to deploy increased zero-carbon generation projects on the grid!

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience in DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering, particularly with AWS.
• Proficient in utilizing Kubernetes for deploying computationally intensive services.
• Skilled in packaging services using Docker.
• Able to debug across multiple programming languages, including Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Familiar with version control systems like Git/Github.
• Excellent analytical problem-solving skills; a STEM degree is preferred.
• A passion for learning, teaching, and creating high-quality software and cloud infrastructure.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools for automating deployments.

• Ability to sit for extended periods and work on computers with repetitive motions.
• Effective communication skills.
• Regular and reliable attendance is essential.
• Ability to work in an office environment as needed.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% or as required for company needs.
