Role

In this role, you will take on the development and implementation of a scalable, secure, and efficient cloud architecture based on Microsoft Azure, including collaboration with external partners. You will advise IT management and various stakeholders on cloud strategy and ensure that the chosen architectures optimally support the overarching business goals. Furthermore, you will conduct comprehensive analyses of systems, processes, structures, data, and user interfaces to ensure efficient and future-proof platform usage. You will be responsible for knowledge transfer regarding the developed systems, thus contributing to the sustainability and continuous improvement of the platform. You will leverage your many years of experience in IT architecture, Azure technologies, and IT project management to professionally steer complex projects.

Responsibilities

• You design our cloud architecture on Azure and ensure that it can be operated scalably, securely, and efficiently
• You define standards and best practices for our cloud platform and introduce modern architecture approaches
• You analyze existing systems and develop target architectures for cloud or hybrid scenarios
• You advise stakeholders on technical decisions and consistently align solutions with business goals
• You implement security and identity concepts and ensure clean governance
• You use platform services and container technologies to enable modern application landscapes
• You document architectures and ensure that knowledge is built up sustainably within the team

Qualifications

• You have a degree or a well-founded education in the IT sector
• You have several years of experience in cloud or system architecture, ideally on Azure
• You are familiar with Azure services, networks, and identity topics
• You have experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code
• You understand security and compliance requirements in cloud environments
• You analyze complex systems and develop clean technical concepts
• You communicate clearly and confidently in German and English
