Cloud Solution Architect -Digital banking

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Cloud Solution Architect with expertise in the banking domain to join our client’s technology team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and efficient banking solutions that align with business needs, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. The position requires a minimum of eight years as a Solution Architect, with at least four years specifically in digital banking, and a valid Cloud architecture certification.

Key Responsibilities

• Design robust, scalable, and secure digital banking solutions, including customer‑facing portals, mobile applications, online banking platforms, and API‑driven banking services.
• Ensure strategic alignment of digital banking solutions with organizational goals, business strategies, and evolving market trends.
• Lead the architecture and design of complete digital banking ecosystems covering web, mobile, backend, and cloud platforms.
• Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and trends in digital banking, such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and blockchain.
• Collaborate closely with business units, product owners, UX/UI designers, and technical teams to define requirements and translate them into technical architecture.
• Ensure adherence to financial regulations (e.g., PSD2, GDPR, KYC) and risk‑management policies throughout the architecture and implementation lifecycle.
• Lead and mentor junior architects and technical teams, fostering innovation and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• At least eight years of experience in solution architecture, with a minimum of four years focused on digital banking or financial technology.
• In‑depth knowledge of digital banking technologies such as core banking systems, customer onboarding products, and payment processing.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) and cloud‑native solutions.
• Strong proficiency in modern software architecture patterns (microservices, event‑driven, serverless) and API‑first design.
• Understanding of security principles, encryption methods, and regulatory compliance in the financial sector.
• Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
• Valid cloud architecture certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, TOGAF, Zachman, or equivalent). Any one certification is required.
• Allowed to join within 30 days from the application. Applicants with experience of more than 30 days before joining will not be considered.
