Cloud Solutions Architect - AWS Specialist

Our client, a leader in cloud transformation services, is looking for an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect with a specialization in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to join their globally distributed team. This is a fully remote position, providing the ultimate flexibility to work from anywhere. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing scalable, reliable, and cost-effective cloud solutions on AWS for our diverse clientele. This role requires deep technical expertise in AWS services, a strong understanding of cloud architecture best practices, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.

Key responsibilities include architecting and deploying secure and robust AWS environments, migrating on-premises applications and infrastructure to the cloud, and optimizing cloud resource utilization for performance and cost efficiency. You will work closely with clients to understand their business needs, assess their current IT infrastructure, and recommend appropriate AWS solutions. This role involves developing comprehensive cloud migration strategies, creating detailed architectural designs, and leading the implementation of cloud infrastructure. Providing technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams, as well as troubleshooting complex cloud-related issues, will also be integral to your success.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Advanced AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional) are highly preferred. You should have a minimum of 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure and cloud computing, with at least 5 years focused specifically on designing and implementing AWS solutions. Proven expertise in a wide range of AWS services, including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, and container services (ECS, EKS), is essential. Strong understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation, as well as CI/CD pipelines, is required.
