Leidos is excited to announce an excellent opportunity for a Cloud Solutions Engineer. In this role, you will be vital in designing, engineering, developing, deploying, and utilizing software for the DOMEX Technology Platform (DTP). You will support our mission to centralize and standardize Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (TCPED) of Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) across the DoD and IC enterprise. Your contributions will include integrating commercial and newly-developed software to enhance the TCPED platform and utilizing cloud-based computing, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and cross-domain transfer systems to offer advanced data exploitation and analytics capabilities to Defense and Intelligence Community members.

As a Cloud Solutions Engineer, you will work closely with the Cloud Architect, Solution Architects, Systems Engineers, Software Engineers, Operations Engineers/Managers, and Government counterparts, managing our cloud solutions and strategy. Most work will take place on-site at our client location in Bethesda, MD, but we offer a flexible schedule with some tasks that may be performed remotely.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and troubleshoot cloud initiatives according to best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Utilize strong problem-solving abilities to address challenges efficiently.
• Design and build web services in the cloud.
• Implement and manage cloud-based platforms across the program.
• Coordinate with the DTP team to prioritize product backlogs for sprints and releases.
• Assist in monitoring technical variances and resolving issues that impact product delivery or system cost.
• Identify and support external dependencies as necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience with 8-12 years in systems engineering or related fields; Master’s degree with 6+ years’ experience preferred.
• Must possess an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance, with the capability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
• Hold at least one DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II or higher certification (e.g., CCNA Security, CySA+, Security+ CE, SSCP, CISSP or Associate).
• Ability to obtain Privileged User Account (PUA) certification per DoD 8570 policy.
• Experience with Commercial Cloud Services (C2S) is essential.
• Familiarity with classified environment security enclaves.
• Experience with cloud-based services, preferably AWS, for enterprise applications, including cloud admin skills in AWS services like EC2, ELB/ALB, S3, EFS, VPC, and AWS CLI.
• Experience with Amazon EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service) and container deployment platforms such as Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Working knowledge of SecDevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Linux operating systems and web services (API, REST).
• Strong understanding of networking and internet protocols.
• Extensive experience with open-source technology, software development, and systems engineering.
• Familiarity with scripting and tooling development in UNIX shell, Python, Perl, or similar languages.
• Experience with IaC coding using CDK or CloudFormation, and with configuration management tools like Salt or Ansible.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues from diverse technical backgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS cloud certifications.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Domain expertise in data processing and big data applications.
• Prior experience supporting DIA/NMEC, DIA/OSIC, or D3P.
• Familiarity with OSINT.
