About the role
Join Tyler Technologies as a Cloud Solutions Engineer in a hybrid work environment. This role involves collaborating with development and operations teams to create automation and tools for seamless customer migrations. Ideal candidates will possess cloud expertise, scripting, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills, with the capacity to work independently when required.
In this position, you’ll play an integral role in project development by designing, implementing, and supporting cloud infrastructure requirements. Your ability to multitask and assist various environments will be an advantage.

Responsibilities:
- Design and develop infrastructure solutions to enhance business functions, processes, and applications.
- Maintain and update infrastructure and tools to meet set standards.
- Monitor alerts and provide root cause analysis.
- Assess and recommend alternative infrastructure solutions.
- Implement and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
- Utilize AWS services like EC2, VPC, ALB/NLB, Route53, S3, Lambda, among others, to create scalable environments.
- Establish and manage CI/CD pipelines for testing, deployment, and rollback automation.
- Understand single-tenant SaaS applications, focusing on tenant isolation and customer-specific configurations.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to plan deployments and manage upgrades across customer instances.
- Ensure minimal downtime and quick recovery from deployment issues.
- Support managers in implementing solutions for operational continuity and problem resolution.
- Utilize advanced troubleshooting skills for complex issue resolution.
- Work with cross-functional teams to enhance deployment reliability and speed.
- Conduct root-cause analyses for production incidents and establish preventive measures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field preferred.
- 6-8 years of experience in cloud engineering or related areas.
- Proven ability to guide teams through projects and direct the work of others.
- Skill in identifying, developing, and documenting business and technical requirements.
- Experience managing AWS infrastructure including VPC, EC2, IAM, EBS, security groups, and RDS.
- Expertise in federated identity solutions for on-premises and cloud environments.
- Experience with best practices for operating core AWS components.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate costs and present solutions clearly.
- Proficient in using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar IaC tools.
- Familiarity with Git, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD tools.
- Knowledge of best practices in branching, testing, and release management.
- Experience with monitoring tools like CloudWatch or Datadog.
- Passionate about establishing coding standards and design patterns.
- Able to make prompt decisions and swiftly learn new technologies.
- Effective in collaborating with diverse teams across locations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Leverages experience and judgment to achieve goals.
Salary will generally range from $74,575 to $130,000 before adjustments based on geographic differences. Please inquire for details regarding incentive eligibility.
