Your Role

To complement the four-person IT Services team, we are seeking an experienced Cloud System Engineer to successfully advance the cloud-only strategy. You will play a central role in designing and further developing the modern IT infrastructure (Workplace, Network, Azure Cloud, and Security). You will work closely with the Head of IT Services, IT System Administrators, and external partners. Your main tasks include:

Responsibilities

• Solution Design: You will conceptualize and develop sustainable IT infrastructure solutions based on modern cloud technologies and translate business requirements into technical architectures.
• System Evaluation & Procurement: You will make well-informed decisions in the evaluation and selection of products, tools, and services, ensuring they optimally fit the existing system landscape.
• Implementation & Customizing: You will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, and continuous development of the infrastructure – from workplace and network to the cloud.
• Security: You will integrate security aspects from the outset, coordinate penetration tests, and consistently implement improvements.
• Project Work: You will work on diverse projects, such as creating an authorization concept, implementing a Zero Trust security model, migrating file servers to SharePoint, and developing client management.
• 3rd Level Support & Engineering: You will be the technical point of contact for complex issues and solve challenges with your expertise.

• Cloud & Identity: Azure, M365 Tenant (Entra ID, Intune, SharePoint, Teams, Exchange)
• Network: Meraki, Azure
• Security: MS Defender, Zero Trust Model
• Server: Windows Server
• Clients: Windows, MacOS, BYOD (Mobile)

Your Qualifications

• Completed technical education, ideally with further training at an HF/FH institution.
• Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in cloud IT infrastructure as a System Engineer.
• Good knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred), network and IT security technologies, Windows Server, and Windows and MacOS clients (at a conceptual level).
• You are strong in implementation and work in a solution- and service-oriented manner.
• You are fluent in German (negotiation level).
