Job Description

The Narya Program is excited to welcome highly skilled and motivated Systems Engineers to our dynamic team. Our ideal candidates should have a strong background in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and software systems, particularly in space mission engineering utilizing Agile methodologies. This role involves breaking down requirements and using Cameo Systems Modeler to develop and execute innovative space missions.

We are looking for a software systems engineer to enhance our C2 development team. This position will focus on designing, implementing, maintaining, and sustaining cloud infrastructure and services. Candidates should have experience with systems modeling in tools like Cameo, microservice architecture, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure cloud solutions. Responsibilities include supporting the product/program lifecycle from advanced R&D, capturing proposals, design, integration & testing, verification, to sustainment through the use of MBSE methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to create and manage system models using Cameo Systems Modeler.
• Design and implement software systems alongside microservice architectures to support space mission engineering.
• Break down high-level requirements into detailed, actionable specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless integration of system components.
• Engage in Agile development processes including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Conduct system-level analyses and trade studies to inform design decisions.
• Develop and maintain various documentation, including system architecture diagrams, interface control documents, and test plans.
• Support system requirements verification and validation through thorough testing and analysis.
• Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field; or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; alternatively, at least 10 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree.
• 4+ years experience in breaking down complex requirements into detailed specifications.
• Familiarity with Cameo Systems Modeler or similar MBSE tools.
• Experience developing microservice architecture and applying it to software systems.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Active TS/SCI security clearance is a plus.
• Experience with other MBSE tools and frameworks.
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
• Experience in space mission engineering, including mission design, analysis, and operations.
• Understanding of space systems and subsystems, including spacecraft design and operations.
• Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum Master, Product Owner).
• MBSE Certification, such as OMG Level 1 Certification.
• Experience with systems engineering standards and best practices.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $104,500.00 - $193,500.00. In Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, and Vermont, the salary range is $90,500.00 - $168,500.00. Salaries are determined based on various factors including experience and geographic location. The availability of these benefits may vary based on the date of hire, schedule type, and collective bargaining agreement applicability.
