Co-op Student - General Commerce, Business Admin, Data Analytics - Fall September 2026

Number of positions: 1 Job Location: Lower Mainland Employment type: Co-Op Hours of work: Full-time (37.5 hrs/wk) Flexible Work Role: Hybrid Annual salary: 1,792.24 - $2,257.45 biweekly

What you'll do

• Conducting business analysis
• Initiating and engaging with stakeholders
• Gathering, preparing and presenting data for review
• Drafting reports and findings
• Record management support
• Project tracking
• Supporting project teams, as needed

The student will learn about the utility industry and be given the opportunity to develop skillsets in process improvement, data analysis and stakeholder engagement, presenting and facilitating information and findings, project management, developing analytical/strategic thinking, and problem solving.

What you bring

• To qualify as a candidate, individuals must be enrolled in and yet to graduate from a recognized post-secondary institution in Canada
• Strong research, analytical, project management, report writing and presentation skills
• Experience and interest in business analysis projects, as well as analyzing and presenting data and findings to project team members
• Excellent working knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Strong organizational, time management, interpersonal and communication (both written and oral) skills and the ability to work efficiently, independently and in a team environment

What we offer

• As a condition of employment at BC Hydro, a background check clearance will be required. This may include: reference checks, education verification, employment verification, criminal record check, drivers abstract review, and a drug and alcohol test.
• All positions will be hired first as a four month work term. For some positions, there is opportunity to extend, to eight months.
• Students are expected to work at the job location for their co-op role and it is the student’s responsibility to relocate themselves if necessary.

Flexible work model role definitions:

• Resident – Works primarily (4+ days per week) in the office.
• Hybrid – May be able to work from home up to 3 days per week.
• Remote – Works from home 4+ days per week
