About the role

We are currently hiring a forward-thinking and results-oriented Collateral Ops Analyst for the Trade Support EU & Collateral Team. The role is based in our Paris office.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for complex collateral related queries, with active backup responsibility for Trade Support activities
  • Work autonomously as part of the Trade Support EU & Collateral team and collaborate closely with internal/external stakeholders as appropriate
  • Manage and/or escalate issues/topics in a timely manner
  • Ensure robust oversight of daily and weekly controls, including but not limited to collateral disputes, failed collateral movements, coupon claims and onboarding activities
  • Maintain and enhance operational procedures and documentation
  • Be able to fully cover at least one Trade Support activity on top of Collateral Management (Listed Derivatives, OTC Cleared & Bilateral or Equity & Fixed Income & FX)
  • Identify structural inefficiencies, investigate root causes, define remedial actions/enhancements, and monitor subsequent implementation
  • Suggest pragmatic and innovative solutions to regular problems, with positive attitude
  • Drive process automation by analyzing, streamlining, and developing coded solutions to improve efficiency and robustness
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders such as Portfolio Management, Client Account Managers, Legal, Risk as well as external service providers, building strong partnership
  • Actively contribute to projects and initiatives including project steering and serving as a subject matter expert on Trade Support & Collateral scopes

Qualifications

  • Excellent university degree, preferably in Business or Finance
  • Prior relevant experience (3 years+) working in Middle Office Collateral Management activities, ideally in Asset Management
  • Knowledge of other Middle Office activities such as Collateral Management, Trade Support, and financial instruments
  • Excellent understanding of Front to Back value chain
  • Analytical mindset with proactive, solution-oriented approach
  • Strong technical skills and familiarity with project management methods
  • Coding abilities to support automation and process streamlining
  • Ability to use Microsoft Copilot, with a strong commitment to ethical and responsible AI practices
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across various functions such as Portfolio Management, Client Account Managers, Risk and with Service providers
  • Team spirit, with good communication and presentation skills and outstanding interpersonal competence
  • Highly organized, ability to work independently as well as empower a team
  • Fluency in English, German language skills considered a plus
