About the role
E&F landscaping is a family/woman owned landscape business located in southern Maryland and operating throughout the mid Atlantic for almost 40 years. E&F is seeking a Commercial Project Manager with 5 to 7 years experience in landscape and installation. This Individual will be responsible for all aspects of project management from day to day operations as related to job start up to final completion
DUTIES AND JOB DESCRIPTION BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Workday schedule is Monday through Friday approx. 6:30 am- 4:30 pm and occasional Saturdays during peak season and adverse weather such as snow duty.
- Responsible for scheduling, managing, directing operations daily.
- Review of completed work orders from jobs to ensure billing accuracy and contract obligations are met within the budget.
- Preview job condition prior to sending crew and materials.
- Represent E&F Landscaping in a professional manner
- Respond to job and customers’ requirements and issues.
- Ensure production deadlines and profit margins are met for each job.
- Any delays outside of our control is to me brought up to customers.
- Prevent delays of project on our accord.
- Send procurement requests in a timely manner and follow up with them accordingly
- Review contract specifications for each job
- Ensure all job’s materials are in stock when required.
- Have weekly progress meeting with management members to discuss progress, profitability, brainstorming, and problem solving with personnel, collections.
- Provide leadership and guidance to field foreman and laborers, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Communicate effectively.
- Establish and maintain a relationship with customers and General Contractors to ensure a smooth completion to the job at hand.
- Establish and maintain a relationship with vendors and suppliers.
- Manage budgetary responsibilities, including cost control measures and resource allocation.
- Explore/offer new change orders to customers.
- Monitor crew’s daily activity and oversee productivity.
- Answering crew questions or assisting with any needs they may have.
- Identifying, developing, administering, maintaining documentation, and tracking training as needed.
Qualifications
- 5 to 7 years of project manager experience in Metro area preferred
- 7 to 10 years green industry experience with a focus on construction and installation
- Excellent, verbal and written skills, bilingual Skills (English/Spanish) a plus
- Track record of successful project completion
- Knowledge of landscape install, construction math, computer skills, contract review, and business communication necessary
- Proficient in MS suite
- Construction, green industry, or business/project management necessary
- Ability to communicate in a direct and effective, and professional manner
- Strong aptitude for organization and Time Management
- Ability to run multiple crews and projects simultaneously
- Clean Driving record
