Cordia Resources is excited to announce an opening for a Commercial Property Accountant who will play a vital role in managing the financial health of our portfolio of commercial real estate properties. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional looking to contribute to our financial processes, ensure compliance, and support our internal teams and partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain the general ledger for a diverse range of commercial properties.
• Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures efficiently.
• Conduct monthly variance analyses and investigate any financial discrepancies that arise.
• Create and distribute comprehensive financial reporting packages on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Prepare necessary journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
• Assist with internal and external audits by preparing required schedules and addressing inquiries.
• Ensure strict adherence to GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Collaborate closely with property management and asset management teams on various financial issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally in the commercial real estate sector.
• Demonstrated expertise in commercial property accounting.
• Strong grasp of general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
• Outstanding analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or CPA candidate status is advantageous.
• Experience with commercial real estate accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, or equivalent) is preferred.
