We are thrilled to announce a partnership with a leading Roofing Company known for its diverse portfolio and wide range of projects. We are currently seeking a talented Commercial Roofing Estimator and/or an experienced Project Manager to join their team.

The Estimator will play a crucial role in calculating preliminary job budgets and preparing formal bids by interpreting blueprints, performing take-offs, and estimating job costs. In addition, the Estimator/Project Manager will engage with clients and their representatives to ensure that technical specifications and designs align with industry standards.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Creating accurate and comprehensive job estimates.
  • Analyzing proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents to identify project labor, material, and time requirements.
  • Conducting site visits and attending pre-bid meetings to fully understand the project scope.
  • Reviewing and performing take-offs of blueprints.
  • Requesting bids from subcontractors.
  • Gathering subcontractor pricing and conducting scope reviews.
  • Evaluating subcontractor bids against bid documents and plans to ensure comprehensive consideration of the full scope of work.
  • Assessing subcontractors' capability to deliver work effectively.
  • Calculating costs related to subcontract labor, general conditions, and materials.
  • Collaborating with clients to assist them in meeting their project budget through careful consideration of plan details, alternative materials/finishes, and building methods.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with existing clients and subcontractors through close collaboration with Project Managers, Superintendents, and the Pre-Construction team.
  • Producing profit and loss reports.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Commercial Roofing Estimation.
  • Strong understanding of commercial roofing documentation.
  • Knowledge of general contracting processes.
  • Ability to write and review contracts.
  • Experience with EDGE estimating software is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, or Business is preferred.
  • Familiarity with various roofing systems, materials, construction methods, and theories.
  • Ability to identify, report, and correct unsafe conditions in accordance with company and OSHA standards.

Compensation

$80k - $120k
