Community Health Program Manager

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and experienced Community Health Program Manager to oversee vital health initiatives in Benin City, Edo, NG. This role is instrumental in developing, implementing, and evaluating community-based health programs that address the needs of diverse populations. The Program Manager will be responsible for strategic planning, resource allocation, and ensuring the effective delivery of services designed to improve health outcomes and promote well-being within the community. You will work closely with local health organizations, community leaders, and stakeholders to build strong partnerships and maximize program impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing program budgets, overseeing staff and volunteers, and developing operational plans to achieve program goals.
• Responsible for data collection, monitoring program performance, and preparing reports for funders and regulatory bodies.
• Grant writing and fundraising activities to secure ongoing program support will also be a significant part of the role.
• Advocate for community health needs and ensure that programs are culturally sensitive and accessible to all target groups.

Requirements

• The ideal candidate possesses a Master's degree in Public Health, Social Work, Community Development, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in program management within the non-profit or public health sector.
• Strong understanding of health disparities, community engagement strategies, and program evaluation methodologies is required.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are paramount.
