Our client, a leading non-profit organization dedicated to community development, is seeking a passionate and experienced Community Outreach Program Manager. This hybrid role offers a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between our organization and the communities we serve, combining remote strategic planning with on-site engagement. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing outreach programs designed to connect with underserved populations, foster partnerships, and drive positive social impact. Responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive community outreach strategies and programs aligned with the organization's mission and goals. Identify and engage with key community stakeholders, including local leaders, residents, and partner organizations. Organize and facilitate community meetings, workshops, and events to raise awareness and gather feedback. Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with community members and partner agencies. Develop outreach materials, including brochures, flyers, and social media content, to effectively communicate program information. Manage program budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and tracking of expenditures. Recruit, train, and supervise outreach volunteers and staff. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of outreach programs, collecting data and preparing impact reports. Identify opportunities for new partnerships and collaborations to expand program reach and impact. Serve as a primary liaison between the organization and the community, representing the organization professionally. Advocate for community needs and ensure programs are responsive to local priorities. Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during program implementation. Manage program logistics, coordinating resources and scheduling activities effectively. Contribute to grant writing and fundraising efforts by providing program-specific information and data. Work flexibly between remote tasks and on-site visits and events within the Lagos, Lagos, NG area. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Public Health, Community Development, or a related field. Minimum of 4 years of experience in community outreach, program management, or social services. Proven experience in developing and implementing successful community programs. Strong understanding of community dynamics, social issues, and empowerment strategies. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and public speaking skills. Demonstrated ability to build rapport and establish trust with diverse community groups. Experience in volunteer management and supervision. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms. Ability to manage budgets and track program metrics. Strong organizational and project management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment. Passion for social justice and commitment to community well-being. Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as program needs dictate. Knowledge of local community resources and networks is highly desirable. This role is integral to fostering strong community ties and maximizing our organization's positive impact.
