Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Compliance Director to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta. The Compliance Director will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the company's compliance programs to ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee the company's compliance strategy and framework.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, provincial, and local regulations.
• Design and implement compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
• Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments.
• Investigate and resolve compliance issues and incidents.
• Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance matters.
• Stay updated on changes in regulations and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with legal, HR, and other departments to ensure a cohesive compliance approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Compliance Officer, Director, or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant compliance regulations and standards.
• Strong understanding of risk management and internal controls.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
