Computer scientist as IT application engineer VOIS platform

Your role in the team

• Technical support and consulting for our customers: You will manage the VOIS platform with a focus on commercial business (VOIS | GESO) in 2nd-Level Support and serve as a competent point of contact for our customers. Additionally, you will support technical support and coordinate collaboration with 1st- and 3rd-Level Support as well as software vendors.
• Participation in Projects and Migrations: You actively contribute to migration projects and software adaptations, supporting their planning, coordination, and technical implementation.
• Further development of interfaces and systems: You maintain and optimize existing procedural interfaces and develop scripts to automate processes and improve efficiency.
• Support in operational activities: You assist our clients in their daily use of the managed software and provide support for technical questions, including those related to peripheral devices such as printers and scanners.
• Documentation and Knowledge Management: You create and maintain system documentation, user manuals, and guides, ensuring the structured recording of all relevant information.
• Analysis and optimization of solutions: You analyze existing applications and collaborate with internal and external partners to further develop and optimize the system landscape.

Our expectations:

Qualifications

• Technical skills: You possess solid knowledge of Linux systems as well as basic knowledge in Windows Server administration.
• IT understanding: You have basic knowledge of databases and IT security and are confident in handling MS Office.
• Communication: You have very good German skills (at least C1) and can convey technical content clearly and understandably in spoken and written form.
• Working style: You work independently, in a structured manner, and solution-oriented. Flexibility, an analytical mindset, and a valid Class B driver's license complete your profile.

Experience

• Scripting and Automation: You have experience with Bash, PowerShell, Python, or comparable technologies and enjoy optimizing technical processes.

Education

• Qualification: You hold a degree in (Business) Informatics, have completed training as an IT specialist (m/f/d), or possess a comparable qualification with relevant practical experience.
