Computer Scientist (f/m/d)

Responsibilities

• Establishing and maintaining a system for the archiving and publication of large volumes of experimental and simulation data at IMVT (research data management, big data)
• Designing, implementing, and maintaining an electronic document management system for the digitalization of the institute’s entire administration in coordination with the relevant departments at KIT
• Carrying out the duties of the institute’s data protection officer
• Procuring and installing computer hardware and software

Personal Qualification

• Completed university degree (Master’s degree/university diploma) in computer science or a related field
• Very good knowledge of data formats and databases/repositories for the storage and publication of scientific research data, preferably including experience with research data management systems
• Knowledge of and experience with methods of machine learning and artificial intelligence in the context of scientific research data management
• Very good knowledge of document management systems
• Very good knowledge of the operation of computer networks, server systems, and secure email communication
• Good communication skills in both German and English
• Strong organizational skills
