Role Description
The Construction Control Representative will oversee daily construction operations to ensure compliance with contract requirements, standards, and specifications. Responsibilities include monitoring contractors’ work, conducting site inspections, reviewing construction submittals, and ensuring adherence to safety regulations and practices. The role requires effective communication and coordination between contractors, stakeholders, and project managers. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Washington, D.C.
Qualifications
- Proven expertise in Supervisory Skills to manage and oversee contractor activities effectively
- Strong experience in Inspection and ensuring compliance with project specifications and work quality standards
- Ability to review and assess Submittals to ensure alignment with contractual and design requirements
- Knowledge of Construction Safety protocols and ability to enforce safety measures on-site
- Experience with Contract Management, including monitoring project progress and resolving potential contract disputes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with contractors, stakeholders, and project teams
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local construction regulations and standards
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory
- Prior experience working with government construction projects is a plus
- US Citizenship is a requirement.
