Based in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida, PMG offers extensive support for the US Department of Defense (DOD) and various federal agencies globally.

We are currently searching for a Construction Manager - Project Administrator to contribute to the Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) infrastructure upgrades at the Lake City VA Medical Center (Lake City VAMC). In this vital role, you will oversee a range of responsibilities including Project Engineering, Planning, Scheduling, Design reviews, Safety Compliance, Record Keeping, Budget Control, and Change Management.

Salary range: $100,000 - $115,000/year (commensurate with experience and qualifications).

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain up-to-date project tracking reports (PTRs), budgets, schedules, and documentation in alignment with VA standards.
  • Conduct in-depth technical reviews of new designs; ensure compliance with relevant codes and project scope while providing insightful recommendations.
  • Review cost estimates from Architects/Engineers, monitor budgets and funding, and alert the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) regarding any financial concerns.
  • Prepare and assess project schedules and coordinate procurement activities per federal guidelines while assessing bids and contract modifications.
  • Inspect construction work for compliance with safety standards, track defects, and assist in managing project-related logistics.

Qualifications

  • A degree from an accredited institution, or a combination of work experience that demonstrates the necessary knowledge. A minimum of three years of construction experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Extensive knowledge of building codes, regulations, materials, and construction processes.
  • Proficiency in software tools for drafting and modeling design elements.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and safety standards.
  • Exceptional communication skills for effective reporting and management briefs.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, resolve conflicts, and tackle complex problems effectively.
  • Familiarity with safety practices, including OSHA standards, and modern construction techniques.
