Key Responsibilities

• Oversee comprehensive project accounting for various construction projects
• Monitor and evaluate job costs, budgets, and financial outcomes
• Guarantee precise cost distribution and adhere to GAAP standards
• Work closely with project managers to enhance financial decision-making
• Create financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses
• Maintain project-specific records and ensure accuracy within accounting systems

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of project accounting experience in the construction sector (required)
• Previous work experience as an Accountant in a construction firm (required)
• Strong understanding of job costing and construction accounting principles (GAAP required)
• Experience in heavy civil, highway, or concrete construction is highly valued
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Familiarity with Sage 300 CRE or Viewpoint Vista is advantageous
