Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
- A minimum of 3 years of project accounting experience within the construction industry (required)
- Strong understanding of job costing, cost accounting, and project financial cycles
- Familiarity with AIA billing formats and construction billing processes
- CPA certification is advantageous
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and construction accounting software (such as Viewpoint, Sage, Procore, or similar)
- Able to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
Responsibilities
- Oversee project accounting for multiple construction projects at once
- Conduct detailed job costing, cost tracking, and variance analysis
- Manage project setup, including budgets, cost codes, and contracts
- Prepare monthly AIA billing and facilitate all project billing processes
- Assist in formulating and updating project budgets and forecasts
- Collaborate closely with project managers to ensure financial reporting is both timely and accurate
- Review and reconcile project expenses, subcontractor invoices, and change orders
- Support month-end closing activities related to project finances
- Provide necessary documentation and analysis for both internal and external audits
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, project controls, and contract stipulations
