Project Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Project Manager to oversee and coordinate day-to-day operations on job sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and general construction, proven leadership abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional results. This role requires hands-on carpentry work as well as supervision of crews and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead by example, performing advanced carpentry and construction tasks.
• Supervise and direct construction crews, subcontractors, and laborers on-site.
• Interpret and execute project plans, blueprints, and specifications.
• Ensure all work meets company standards for quality, safety, and craftsmanship.
• Plan, schedule, and delegate tasks to maintain workflow and meet deadlines.
• Monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate solutions.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Communicate clearly with other project managers, clients, and team members.
• Train and mentor less experienced carpenters and crew members.
• Track time, materials, and job site documentation as required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of carpentry and general construction experience, with at least 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• Strong hands-on carpentry skills; historic restoration experience a major plus.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and job site safety practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
