Our client is seeking an experienced and results-driven Construction Project Manager to oversee construction projects from inception to completion, operating entirely remotely. This critical role demands exceptional leadership, planning, and execution skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of construction methodologies, project management principles, and risk mitigation strategies, coupled with excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities for remote environments.
As a remote Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for all phases of project execution, including detailed planning, resource allocation, scheduling, budget management, and quality control. You will coordinate closely with architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and clients, utilizing advanced communication and project management software to maintain seamless collaboration and oversight. This includes conducting virtual site inspections, progress reviews, and resolving any issues that may arise during the construction lifecycle. Your ability to proactively identify potential risks and implement effective mitigation plans will be crucial.
Key responsibilities include: Developing comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource requirements. Managing and coordinating all construction activities and site personnel. Ensuring strict adherence to building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards. Monitoring project progress, identifying deviations, and implementing corrective actions. Managing project budgets, tracking expenditures, and approving invoices. Negotiating and managing contracts with suppliers and subcontractors. Conducting regular progress meetings with clients and project teams via virtual platforms. Overseeing risk management and implementing contingency plans. Preparing detailed project reports and documentation. Fostering a collaborative and safe working environment among all project stakeholders. The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, with a minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in managing diverse construction projects. Professional certifications such as PMP or equivalent are highly desirable. Proven experience with project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and a strong understanding of construction techniques and materials are mandatory. Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this remote role. The ability to effectively communicate and manage a remote project team and stakeholders is paramount.
