About Us

Our client, a PR consultancy in Knysna, Western Cape, is looking for a Content Creator to manage reputation and media relations for their clients. Duties include writing press releases, pitching stories to journalists, organising press conferences, monitoring media coverage, and preparing media reports. Established media contacts are ideal.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, analyse, and report on marketing campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics, providing actionable optimisation recommendations.
  • Create high-quality content for various marketing channels including blog posts, social media updates, newsletters, press releases, and video scripts.
  • Collaborate with sales, product development, and internal teams to ensure alignment between marketing activities and business objectives.
  • Manage the company's digital marketing channels including websites, social media platforms, email marketing, and paid digital advertising.
  • Manage the marketing budget effectively, tracking expenditure and ensuring return on marketing investment is measured and maximised.
  • Manage brand identity and ensure consistency of messaging, visual presentation, and tone of voice across all communication materials.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies and campaigns aligned with business objectives and target audience insights.

Requirements

  • Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously under pressure.
  • A degree or diploma in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field from a recognised tertiary institution.
  • Strong digital marketing skills including SEO, Google Ads, social media advertising, email marketing, and content management systems.
  • Excellent copywriting and communication skills with the ability to create persuasive and engaging content for diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in marketing and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, Mailchimp, and Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in interpreting marketing data, identifying trends, and making data-driven recommendations.
  • A minimum of two to four years of marketing experience, either agency-side or client-side, with a proven track record of campaign success.
