About the role
MSL Motor Group, Ireland’s leading retail automotive group, is seeking a creative, motivated and performance-driven Content Creator & Social Media Specialist to join our central marketing team.
This role is responsible for producing high-quality digital content and delivering effective social media activity that brings our brands and dealerships to life online. The successful candidate will combine strong hands-on content creation skills with paid social expertise and a clear understanding of how content and advertising contribute to customer enquiries and lead generation. A strong interest in the automotive sector is essential, particularly across Mercedes-Benz, smart, BYD, Škoda and XPENG.
The Role
Working across our dealer network, you will plan, film, edit and publish engaging video, photography and social content and activity that strengthens brand presence, increases engagement and supports sales performance. A key focus of this role is creating and optimising content that drives customer enquiries, including test-drive requests and lead submissions. This position is based at MSL Head Office on the Naas Road, with daily travel to dealerships and on-site locations, therefore a full, clean driving licence is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation
- Produce high-quality videography, photography and graphic content for social and digital platforms
- Capture in-showroom activity, vehicle walkarounds, brand features and showroom events
- Film on-site at dealerships and in locally relevant external locations
- Create drone footage, where appropriate, to showcase dealership locations, facilities and brand presence
- Work with and manage our Brand Ambassador partnerships
- Write engaging captions and ad copy designed to maximise reach, engagement and enquiries
Social Media & Paid Advertising
- Support the planning and execution of organic and paid social media campaigns
- Activate, manage and optimise paid advertising in line with brand guidelines and internal budgets
- Create performance-focused content and campaigns aimed at generating customer enquiries and leads and growing our online followers
- Contribute content to both dealership-level and MSL Group social channels
Brand & Dealer Support
- Work closely with Brand Managers to develop and manage monthly social media content calendars
- Deliver tailored creative content to support promotions, in-showroom activity and events
- Ensure all content aligns with each brand’s tone, positioning and visual identity
Editing & Post-Production
- Edit and refine video, photography and drone footage to a high professional standard for online distribution
Performance & Optimisation
- Monitor content and campaign performance across social and digital platforms
- Track and evaluate and report performance against key KPIs, including engagement, enquiries, leads and conversions
- Provide insights and recommendations to continuously improve creative output and campaign effectiveness
Continuous Development
- Stay up to date with social media trends, platforms, tools and best practice in content creation and digital marketing and AI
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in videography and photography, supported by a strong portfolio of work
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop and Lightroom
- Strong experience in Meta (Facebook & Instagram) advertising; Meta Blueprint qualifications or certifications desirable
- Demonstrated ability to analyse content and campaign performance with a focus on driving customer enquiries and lead generation
- Experience using Meta Ads Manager, Business Suite, Google Analytics and platform insights to measure performance and optimise output
- Strong understanding of how creative, copy and audience targeting influence purchasing intent and enquiry volume
- Experience capturing and editing drone footage; relevant certification and safe, compliant operation knowledge desirable
- Strong understanding of automotive brands, models and unique selling points
- Excellent copywriting skills for social and paid advertising
- Creative, well-organised and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on brand consistency
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
- Previous automotive or dealership marketing experience is an advantage
- Full, clean driving licence essential, as the role involves daily travel to dealership sites
