Controller

Overview

Our client, a manufacturing firm located in the SE, is seeking a Controller to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years manufacturing industry experience with 2+ years at a Controller/Manager level.

Please note, this role is 5 days in the office, with the office being located in the South-East

Key Responsibilities

• Full cycle accounting: Including journal entries, reconciliations, payroll accounting and managing AR and AP.
• Month-End Accounting: Conduct month-end closings, ensuring accurate financial data and compliance with ASPE.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Preparing budgets and forecasts, with a view on providing advice on costs overruns, profiability recommendations, etc.
• Operations: Helping provide review and recommendations on operaing results, with both historical and future viewpoints.
• Costing: Experience with standard costing and/or average costing.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2+ years of managerial level experience, ideally with smaller private clients/companies.
• Manufacturing Experience: 3+ years manufacturing industry experience.
• CPA Designation: Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
