Controls Engineering Manager – Winchester, VA (Hybrid) starts remote initially

Key Qualifications

• 5+ years in automation/controls engineering, including 3–5 years at a senior level
• Proven experience leading and mentoring technical teams
• Strong expertise with Rockwell, Siemens, and/or Schneider PLC platforms
• Experience in project execution, resource planning, and budget oversight
• Solid understanding of IT/OT environments, automation software, and system integration
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field preferred; experience can be used in lieu of the degree

• Lead automation and controls initiatives at our Winchester, VA location
• Manage a team of controls engineers
• Oversee the design, implementation, and standardization of industrial automation systems across multiple projects
• Bring senior-level controls engineering expertise and strong leadership capabilities
• Balance strategic planning with hands‑on technical involvement
• Collaborate closely with engineering, IT/OT, operations, and external vendors to deliver scalable, efficient automation solutions
