Core Engineer

About

One of our busiest hedge fund clients is hiring a Core Engineer into their Manhattan office. You will be working alongside their Fixed Income PM to develop infrastructure, build trading strategies, and shape the foundation of the firm's trading operations.

Responsibilities

• Independently update code changes in Java, Python and Terraform
• Own the build and operation of the core infra required to expand into new asset classes
• Rationalize the AWS footprint by identifying and eliminating inefficient resource usage
• Improve data storage, query performance, and delivery throughput
• Expand and harden CI/CD infrastructure for core services

Requirements

• Highly proficient in Java and/or Python
• Highly proficient in Terraform and/or AWS
• 3+ years' experience in scalable software engineering projects
• Front office experience
• Past exposure to low latency market data systems, and OMS/EMS is a plus
