Job Description

In the past few years, Europ Assistance has launched a transformation program aiming to standardize insurance processes and implement a Core Insurance Platform to support them. The platform is now live, and the production activities are becoming increasingly critical in EA’s IT landscape. The Core Insurance Platform Production Manager oversees all IT production activities around the Core Insurance Platform, ensuring smooth operation of applications and systems, optimizing development and deployment processes, and providing the right level of communication to all stakeholders. He/she works in close contact with the rest of the IT insurance team, mainly IT POs managing the product roadmap of the different domains composing the insurance platform.

Key Responsibilities

Production Coordination

  • Establish and maintain IT production processes such as Incident Management, Change Management, and Problem Management in alignment with EA’s guidelines.
  • Ensure availability and performance of applications.
  • Design and implement governance in line with the global governance already in place.
  • Manage and coordinate all external partners maintaining components of the Core Insurance Platform: Duck Creek integrators, Quadient systems, Azure APIM, ADF, and the respective software editors.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and propose solutions to enhance production efficiency and reliability.

Release Management

  • Implement a robust Release Management process that embeds all dependencies between systems and initiatives.
  • Supervise deployment, maintenance, and system monitoring activities.
  • Gain a global understanding of all involved solutions.
  • Coordinate continuous dialogue with IT POs overseeing architecture consistency of modules (Policy, Billing, Claims).
  • Supervise backlog management and ensure prioritization aligned with EA’s global priorities.
  • Ensure communication and reporting for all stakeholders.

Contract and Budget Management

  • Oversee all contractual and financial engagements.
  • Manage budget, provide visibility on consumption and forecasts, and ensure yearly budget commitments are respected.
  • Lead all contractual or budget adaptations needed.

Security and Compliance

  • Ensure data security and compliance.
  • Guarantee that IT operations comply with quality and security standards.

Preferred Experience

  • At least 10 years delivering large IT platforms as Project Manager and/or Production Support Manager.
  • Significant experience delivering/managing SaaS software, ideally in insurance.
  • Experience working in English as the main spoken project language.

Services Management

  • Experienced in production support management for ERPs, ideally on an international scale involving offshore service providers.
  • Knowledge of standard production support processes (ITIL).
  • Experienced in IT process assessment and optimization.

Technical

  • Experienced in ERP delivery and production support in international companies (10 years).
  • Strong understanding of SaaS software implementation (knowledge of Duck Creek or similar platforms is a plus).
  • Understanding of the insurance business, especially travel insurance, is a plus.

Team Management & Leadership

  • Organized and self‑sufficient with the ability to evolve in a matrix organization and drive change (5 years).
  • Strong capacity to enforce standard processes while remaining open to adaptation and managing transition in a rapidly evolving environment.

Communication

  • Excellent communicator in English, both written and spoken, with stakeholders, businesses, and service providers.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficient in English and ideally French.
