A Day in the Life of the Corporate Account Executive:

The Corporate Account Executive is responsible for driving outside sales to enterprise-level commercial customers, which include large business customers for internet and telephone services. This role focuses on proactively identifying new sales opportunities, understanding customer needs, preparing compelling proposals, and successfully closing deals.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage in proactive outside sales activities, including cold-calling and direct outreach, needs assessment, proposal development, negotiation, and post-sales service management.
  • Negotiate contracts with telecommunications decision-makers to drive revenue growth and retention.
  • Oversee installation projects with various teams to ensure timely delivery, successful implementation, and customer satisfaction.
  • Respond promptly to customer requests for information, support, joint proposals, and pricing inquiries.
  • Engage in demand sales requests and collaborate with the sales/service team to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in B2B sales in a technology environment.
  • Proven success in selling telecommunications and internet services to end-user customers, including strategic business clients and government accounts, following relationship management and system sales concepts.
  • Outstanding presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • A track record of effectively building a customer base.
  • Ability to engage and sell to C-level executives within organizations.
  • Expertise in consultative sales techniques, customer needs analysis, and strategic service improvement planning.
  • Technical proficiency related to network and transmission design and local access services.
  • Solid understanding of both switched and dedicated services and associated end-user and carrier applications.
  • Operational knowledge of telecommunications ordering, provisioning, and billing processes.
  • Working knowledge of general marketing principles, tools, and processes.
  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to maintain customer retention.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset is essential.
  • Adept at navigating a dynamic work environment.
  • Effective communication skills via telephone, correspondence, and in-person interaction.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a strategic view.
  • Basic computer literacy, typing, and mathematical proficiency.
  • Familiarity with office equipment, including personal computer, telephone, printer, copier, fax machine, and calculator.
  • Ability to remain focused and composed during high-pressure situations.
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.

Compensation:

Base Salary: The base salary range for this role is $82,000 annually, with bonus, benefits, and commission opportunities. Actual pay may vary based on relevant skills, experience, and capabilities.

Commissions: Targeted commissions at full attainment are $32,400 annually, with significant earnings potential for those who exceed their sales targets.
