About the role
Corporate Actions Associate
A leading financial institution is seeking a Corporate Actions Associate to support Capital Markets operations. This role manages the end‑to‑end processing of North American corporate actions, supporting Canadian trades across multiple entities in North America and Europe.
Responsibilities
- Manage complex and high‑risk corporate actions
- Ensure accurate elections and entitlements
- Clear cash and stock breaks
- Monitor short positions and pending trades
- Mitigate risk
- Collaborate closely with trading desks, operations teams, internal partners, and counterparties
- Act as a subject matter expert for corporate actions
- Participate in process improvements, controls, and system integrations
Requirements
- 5+ years in asset servicing, including 3+ years in voluntary corporate actions
- Strong financial services and regulatory knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree (math‑focused preferred)
- Expertise in voluntary election arbitrage
- Working knowledge of BPS, CDS, DTC, and Excel
- Strong risk awareness and problem‑solving skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with BNP Neolink, Global One, FIS XSP/RISA, iMatch, Global Framework
- Cash Prime Brokerage client experience
