About the role

Summary

The Corporate Financial Analyst will support business decision-making through budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and data-driven analysis. The candidate will evaluate economic trends and company financial performance to improve operational efficiency and drive profitability while partnering with Finance, Accounting, and business leaders to provide actionable financial insights. Common duties include variance analysis, budgeting, and data-driven strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update complex financial models.
  • Forecast financial performance and analyze results to support business and strategic planning.
  • Evaluate economic trends and company financial statements to identify trends and cost-optimization opportunities.
  • Perform variance analysis and analyze key performance drivers.
  • Prepare clear reports and presentations for senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with Accounting and Finance teams during month-end close activities.
  • Support process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and data accuracy.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Industry experience in either retail, wholesale, and/or e-commerce.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication skills, and presentation skills.
  • Strong professional ethics and discretion when handling confidential information.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including macros.
  • Experience with Microsoft D365 and ERP systems such as Blue Cherry
  • Familiarity with business intelligence (BI) and reporting tools.

Analytical Skills

  • Strong ability to interpret complex data sets and translate findings into actionable insights.

Physical/Mental Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:

  • Must be able to visually see and read typed written documents
  • Require more than 2/3 of the time – talk/hear; sit; Use hands to handle or feel
  • Required less than 1/2 of the time – Stand, walk- Must be able to lift 15 lbs
