The Opportunity

We are partnering with a fast-growing boutique advisory firm specialising in board advisory, fundraising, and buy- and sell-side M&A. The firm operates across the marketing services and technology sectors, supporting ambitious, founder-led businesses through growth, capital raises, and strategic exits.

They are now looking to hire an Associate based in South Africa, offering a unique opportunity to work on UK and international transactions within a highly entrepreneurial environment. This role provides significant exposure to senior stakeholders and a clear pathway for progression within a growing M&A team.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

• Project manage multi-party M&A transactions
• Work closely with senior stakeholders leading engagements
• Deliver high-quality financial analysis
• Prepare teasers, information memoranda, and other deal materials
• Support evaluation of offers and transaction processes
• Build and maintain financial models
• Conduct valuations and support due diligence processes

Secondary Responsibilities

• Support business development initiatives
• Liaise with external advisors (legal, tax, and other partners)

Candidate Profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent, e.g. SAICA)
• Experience in corporate finance, M&A, or transaction services
• Strong financial modelling and analytical skills
• Proven ability to manage deadlines and multiple workstreams
• Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable working in a lean, high-growth environment
• Exposure to marketing services or technology sectors is beneficial but not essential

Location & Compensation

• South Africa-based (remote working)
• Salary: R40,000 – R50,000 per month, depending on experience
