The Opportunity
As a dedicated Corporate Recruiter (Mid‑Level) in a full‑cycle consultative recruiting environment, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of relationships and partnerships with hiring leaders, candidate pools, peer partners, and third‑party vendors to deliver candidates for USAA's hiring needs. You will develop and recommend recruiting strategies to proactively identify candidates and assemble a diverse pipeline of talent for open positions.
- Flexible work environment; required in‑office presence 4 days per week.
- Locations: San Antonio, TX; Charlotte, NC; Tampa, FL; Plano, TX; Phoenix, AZ.

Responsibilities
- Identify and build community partnerships to generate candidates in alignment with the organization's hiring and program objectives.
- Develop and implement creative sourcing strategies to proactively identify candidates and assemble pipeline of talent for open positions.
- Perform full life‑cycle recruiting using various recruitment methods.
- Partner with internal and external partners to establish community networks and relationships in support of our military, diversity and/or college hiring requirements with minimal guidance.
- Follow up and follow through on all submitted candidates in a timely manner; ensure the Applicant Tracking System (Workday) is kept up to date in real time and maintain compliance with all Federal, State and Regulatory requirements.
- Using defined job descriptions, develop compelling job posting descriptions to attract talent and strive to differentiate USAA from competitors.
- Keep candidates continually advised with high‑touch communication throughout the entire hiring process.
- Negotiate salary per job requisition within approved range, maintaining a fiduciary responsibility to the company.
- Forecast and handle talent pool size to fulfill workforce plans and hiring objectives.
- Collaborate with hiring managers and/or coworkers through the recruiting processes to maintain compliance within external and internal regulatory agencies.
- Build candidate pools to meet hiring requirements by leveraging technical expertise to identify sourcing and networking strategies and tools.
- Consult with hiring leaders and internal partners to proactively identify strategies to understand business requirements and meet hiring requirements.
- Serve as a resource to team members.
- Apply knowledge of relevant human resources discipline(s), specifically employment law, policy, and procedures.
- Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree; or 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
- 4 years of progressive work experience in staffing, general human resources, and/or account relationship management, including knowledge of applicable employment laws.
- Demonstrated understanding of recruiting methods and standard methodologies.
- Knowledge of applicable policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of effective screening and interviewing techniques.
- Proficient knowledge and use of Microsoft Office products and other software to support sourcing tools and techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with in‑house, full‑cycle, corporate recruiting.
- Ability to effectively manage and support multiple client groups simultaneously, engaging leadership at all organizational levels.
- Experience recruiting using the Workday Recruiting applicant tracking system.
- Experience using AI‑related recruiting tools (e.g., Eightfold AI).
- US military experience through military service or as a military spouse/domestic partner.
Compensation
- Salary range: $85,040.00 – $162,550.00 (varies by location and experience).
- USAA does not provide visa sponsorship for this role. Do not apply if you will need immigration support (H‑1B, TN, STEM OPT, etc.).
- Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
