About Humana's Strategy Planning Team

Humana's Strategy Planning team is a small, high-performing group that works closely with senior leadership to establish the future course for the company. In Strategy Planning, you will identify and analyze growth opportunities and work with business leaders to prioritize options and set the long-term strategy agenda. The team has frequent interactions with Humana's CEO and regularly manages deliverables for Humana's broader Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors. Our team also undertakes internal consulting engagements across a wide range of topics.

Strategy Planning reports to Humana's Chief Strategy Officer, who also oversees the Corporate Development team.

The Corporate Strategy Analyst role is modeled after those of top-tier management consultancies. Daily activities will include developing industry analyses, building high-level financial or other business models, conducting qualitative analyses and synthesizing findings to create executive-level deliverables and recommendations for Humana's senior leaders.

Key Responsibilities

• Support problem-solving efforts by helping senior leaders define key issues, develop hypotheses and create recommendations
• Identify and incorporate relevant data to inform strategic decisions
• Convert strategy into roadmaps, business cases and projects while prioritizing timelines and ensuring alignment and execution
• Identify the short and long-term impacts of key strategies by assessing qualitative and quantitative data

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 1+ years of full-time work experience in strategy consulting, corporate/business unit strategy, or analysis
• Analytical skills (ex: quantitative analysis and research, stakeholder management, and financial modeling)
• Familiarity with strategic frameworks and strategy development
• Ability to identify, structure, and solve business problems

Preferred Qualifications

• Passion for Humana's focus on value-based healthcare for seniors
• Exposure to the healthcare industry

Location & Schedule

Working locations are primarily Louisville, KY, and Arlington, VA (Washington, DC metro area); also open to candidates living in or willing to relocate to Chicago or Nashville. The Strategy team operates on a hybrid schedule with an expectation of 2 to 3 inoffice days per week. Relocation assistance available.

Occasional travel to Humana offices for training or meetings may be required.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Compensation

Pay Range: $86,200 - $118,600 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
