About
The Cost Accountant Executive is responsible for managing cost accounting processes, monitoring inventory valuation, analyzing production costs, and supporting financial control across the Company’s operations. The role ensures accurate cost tracking, efficient resource utilization, and timely reporting to support management decision-making in both farm settlement and head office environments.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Management & Financial Control:
- Prepare and maintain detailed cost records for production, inventory, and operational activities
- Analyze cost variances and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement
- Monitor production costs, material usage, and operational expenses across farm and head office operations
- Develop cost control measures to improve profitability and reduce wastage.
Inventory & Stock Management:
- Monitor inventory movement, stock valuation, and reconciliation processes
- Conduct periodic stock counts and inventory audits
- Ensure accurate recording of raw materials, finished goods, and consumables
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare periodic cost reports, inventory reports, and financial summaries
- Provide management with insights on cost trends, production efficiency, and operational performance
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Maintain proper documentation and financial records in line with company policies.
Operational Support:
- Work closely with production, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure accurate cost tracking
- Support procurement and supply chain teams in cost planning and vendor evaluation
- Participate in operational reviews and provide financial guidance to improve performance
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and accounting standards.
Requirements
- Interested candidates should possess an HND qualification with 3 - 5 years experience.
Work Environment Expectations:
- Ability to work across dual operational locations Farm Settlement - Abeokuta and Head Office - Lagos
- Willingness to participate in periodic inventory counts and operational reviews
- Ability to work collaboratively with operations and production teams
- Commitment to accuracy, accountability, and financial discipline
